Just heard the devastating news. What a massive loss. As a patient of Johns for well over 20 years he was just a brilliant, lovely man. Always welcoming and time (despite his busy diary) for jokes and banter, making me a nervous patient, always at ease. I would like to pass on my sincere condolences to his family, friends and work colleagues.
